Who We Serve

ANY WOMAN WHO DESIRES TO PERMANENTLY LEAVE A LIFE OF EXPLOITATION IN THE SEX TRAFFICKING INDUSTRY, AND HER CHILDREN.

With over 26 years of working with women impacted by the sex industry and sex trafficking, we know that there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. It is a vicious cycle and a long road to healing trauma and experiences that dominate most of our clients formative years and restoration takes time, care, and support. We are passionate about helping to rescue, empower, and restore them to healthy lives.

By using a holistic approach – addressing spiritual, physical, relational, mental, financial, and discipleship needs - we’re able to help these women start a new healthy trajectory.

We do this so that lives are restored and to glorify God.

A Profile of Our Client:

She Lives a Life Filled with Pain & Heartbreak

Typically in her late twenties to mid-thirties, we find that most of our clients had her first sexual experience early. Because of the nature of her situation, she usually has had one or more abortions and have children without paternal involvement or support. Often, the father for their children is not only absent, but also unknown.

Additionally, our client often finds herself in difficulty with debt, few employment options due to limited job skills, limited education, bad driving records, a messy legal history, and low credit scores which make changing her situation difficult.

Our client is also emotionally and socially scarred, which makes relational situations difficult. She typically had a traumatic or neglect-filled childhood, absent or abusive parents, and as a result tries to cover her wounds with lifestyle, a distrust for everyone, a fearful desire for control, and a tendency towards situational ethics and instant gratification.

She is (In the Purest Form) Full of Conflict

Our client typically seems to be a walking contradiction - she will despise men but subject herself and her body to them, view men with mistrust and suspicion but also have a dependency on them, have a sense of pride in her body, but wreck havoc on it through alcohol and drug abuse, hate her situation but also perpetuate it, and live a life filled with shame which she will deny feeling shame about.

Breaking through these barriers is impossible without the client wanting to change her story. But when she is ready, we are there to partner with her and offer hope through a way out.

She Lives a Life Based on Escapism and Fantasy

In many cases, to be able to tolerate the situation that she finds herself in and deflect blame for it, she will have a distorted view of reality, finding justifications for her actions such as the belief that she won’t be able to find any other work, that she has things under control, that her actions are not hurting anyone, that her sexuality is a commodity that she has the right to sell, that she is protecting other women and children by keeping sex addicts away from them, and that she is participating in harmless adult entertainment.

Often, the underlying thread here is that she has a distorted view of who God is, and consequently, a distorted view of her worth as a human being.

Why it is Important

Because our clients often find themselves in their situation due to a lifetime of trauma, abuse, neglect, and addiction, it takes more than just one program or ministry to help them. They need a holistic approach to equip, care for, support, and nurture them, using proven counseling methods, biblical truth, and a supportive community of other women. This community cheers them on and supports them as they do the hard work of changing their lives, for themselves and their children.
