A Way Out Ministries is a Memphis-based nonprofit that has spent over three decades fighting human trafficking, supporting women exiting the sex industry, and restoring lives shattered by exploitation. Our mission is rooted in hope, dignity, and long-term healing. Through legislative advocacy, street and strip club outreach, emergency interventions, and trauma-informed care programs, we’ve walked alongside hundreds of women and their families as they rebuild from unimaginable pain.
This year, we’re excited to announce a unique and powerful fundraising event:
“Brushstrokes of Hope: The Art of Freedom”
Call For Art
We’re inviting artists to join this life-saving work by donating a piece of original art—whether painting, photography, sculpture, or pottery—for auction. All proceeds from the event will directly support A Way Out Ministries’ outreach efforts, our new campus for survivors just outside Memphis, and the eventual relaunch of our long-term residential program.
Criteria for Submissions:
Accepted art forms: painting, photography, and pottery
Minimum size: 16” x 20” (either vertical or horizontal, including photographs)
Photographs: must be submitted in high resolution to ensure crisp display
Maximum: up to three pieces per artist
To submit: please email pictures and a detailed description of the piece(s) you are willing to donate to amy@awoministries.org, who will forward them to our Selection Committee for review
All submissions are due by December 10, 2025 in order to get the online bidding open by January 11, 2026
Pick up is available
Your donation will not only support a worthy cause, but it is also tax-deductible. Your work will be featured among a curated selection in a high-profile setting with an engaged audience of philanthropists, collectors, and community leaders who care deeply about justice and transformation.
Every piece of art donated becomes a brushstroke in the larger portrait of freedom we are painting together. The women we serve—some as young as 12—are writing stories of resilience, redemption, and healing. From strip clubs to safe havens, from trauma to restoration, these women are finding a way out.
Will you join us in making hope visible through art?
We would be honored by your participation and look forward to seeing your submissions.
